Bit warm, lots of flies, but interesting landscapes. Better to visit in cooler weather.
Great campsites but the 4 day Discovery Walk doesn't have much variety and the track is sandy, particularly where the illegal trail have cut it up.
I spent two days exploring the tracks in the park. Excellent conditions for any type of 4WD vehicle.
The walk was excellent, the campsites really good, and Spring is a good time to see the wildflowers. It is necessary to treat drinking water as bees prefer to make their final resting place in the water tanks. The real downside of the three day walk was the damage to the walking track caused by illegal dirt bikes and quad bikes.
Middle of the school holidays and we had the place to our selves. Easy 4WD tracks suitable for solo travelling. Just a reminder to turn off your vehicles ESC so that you can drive effectively in the deep sand.
